New Hires Propel GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Growth

Marilyn Grundy to facilitate internship expansion in the United Kingdom; Nick Shalagan to strengthen degree program services in Canada

DENVER, Colo. – November 8, 2013 – GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, a leading provider of study abroad programs across the globe promoting academic, cultural, personal, professional, and social discovery, has added two key staff members, one to expand its internship programs in the United Kingdom and  one strengthen its full degree offerings for the Canadian market.

The company has hired Marilyn Grundy as its Internship Placement Officer in the United Kingdom to lead internship placements for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad’s London programs. The company also has hired Nick Shalagan as Regional Director in Canada. Based in Toronto, Shalagan will lead outreach to Canadian universities and students interested in GlobaLinks Learning Abroad degree abroad programs.

Grundy has more than 10 years of career and university work experience, including as senior internship placement manager at EUSA in London. Previously, she worked as an employment advisor, employment consultant and representative in university career services.

“I look forward to guiding more GlobaLinks Learning Abroad participants toward the best-fit internship experiences possible in the United Kingdom,” Grundy said.

Shalagan has a strong background in international volunteerism, salsa, youth education and mentorship recently finished a year working in Tanzania for Volunteer Service Overseas. He will be responsible for Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan.

“I’m ready to contribute to our efforts to educate students on their options for earning degrees overseas and the many benefits that come from those experiences,” Shalagan said.
